Strawberry Sweetheart Pie
I’m so excited to be sharing this recipe with you! It is so delicious and so adorable. I cheated just a bit and used a store bought Pillsbury pie crust but I did shared a great recipe above if you’d rather make your own. I’ve never made a strawberry pie before and feel like it almost should be something I’d make around the Fourth of July. I would probably make the top crust lattice for a Fourth of July party but because it’s almost Valentine’s Day I decided to use a small heart cookie cutter and cut out hearts all over the top crust. Mini Flower Lemon Tarts
Last Sunday, I made these delicious Mini Flower Lemon Tarts. I originally found the idea on Pinterest but when I couldn’t find the exact ingredients, I had to add lib. This is what I came up with. I use Pillsbury (Pre-Made) Pie Crust and cut out the flower design. I then tucked the flowers into a mini muffin pan, making sure the crust was pushed to the bottom of each tart. Spacing them in every other spot leaving room so the flowers wouldn’t stick together. Then, I whipped together the lemon packet from Krusteaz Lemon Bar box and poured it into the flower tarts. Freaking out that I was able to attend Jenny Cookies Workshop in Seattle! Jenny and I have become "sweet" friends and she only hosts 2 of these workshops a year! Last year, I wasn't able to make the dates. She hosts 1 in the Spring and 1 during the Holiday time. Even though I grew up in the Northwest... I'm a huge fan of Southern Living! I came across this amazing magazine and I'm telling you these recipes are fabulous. Easy yet beautiful... I think it's the entertainer in me that loves the look of special desserts- if I can give a piece of something happy to my house guest than I'm super pleased.
