INGREDIENTS ½ cup water 1 cup granulated sugar 2 cups fresh cranberries First, combine ½ cup of water and ½ cup of sugar in a medium saucepan and heat until the mixture comes to a simmer. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely and remove from the heat to allow it to cool for five minutes. Next, add two cups of cranberries, one cup at a time, to the saucepan. Sugared Cranberries
Ingredients 2 cups sugar 2 cups water 2 cups fresh cranberries 3/4 cup fine sanding sugar Directions Combine sugar and water in a small pan and bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and let cool for 10 minutes. Place the cranberries in a bowl and pour the syrup over the top. Let cool completely, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate overnight. Drain cranberries in a colander over a bowl, reserving the syrup for another use. Place sanding sugar in a shallow dish. Add the cranberries in batches, rolling to coat with sugar.
