HELLO 2018

Happy New Year!!! I celebrated the New Year relaxing at home with Jason. We watched movies and watched the ball drop at midnight. I’m just starting to feel like myself again after being hit with the flu over Christmas. So, a relaxing end of the year was heavenly to me. I love making New Years Resolutions. As a child we made family Resolutions and I could hardly wait to read my goals from the prior year. This year is no exception and I can hardly wait to share. So here are few of the goals I have been thinking about for myself and I have also included a few quotes that I think will help me accomplish my goals this year.

1. STAY POSITIVE

I want to continue to work on always having good and positive thoughts! And realizing that I have the power to make a situation good or bad based on my thoughts and that I do have control over how I choose to react to situations. Also surrounding myself with people who have that same goal in mind.

2. BE PRESENT

To continue to try to be more present! When my kids are around I want to be more present in the moment. This is Evan’s senior year of High School and I want to embrace each milestone. Be present for College accept letters, Baseball games, Graduation. For Ellie, it’s when she is home from College or even a conversation on the phone.

3. EXERCISE GRATITUDE

I want to be more vocal with our gratitude and say it daily with thought behind it. Basically just being content with all things in life. We have so many moving parts in our lives. We are consumed with what we don’t have we forget to be thankful for what we do have.

4. FITNESS/HEALTH

I want to drink more water in a day. I barely drink 24 oz. in a day, so I’m going to try to drink 50 oz. per day. I also want to be mindful about what I’m eating. Eating more clean and raw. Only eating when I’m hungry. I want to continue my fitness journey, moving and doing activities I enjoy.

5. ELIMINATE MINDLESS SPENDING

I spend a lot of extra money on Unnecessary items. With the NEW house we are building this year. I want to concentrate on specific house items and nothing extra.

I hope you have had some time to reflect on 2017. If you need a fresh start + new goals for 2018? I hope you find the courage and strength to make the changes work best for you. Happy New Year!
