November & December are the busiest months for hosting… at least in my house. All of the holiday soirees can feel overwhelming especially if you’re hosting. My cure for hosting anxiety: a checklist. A smooth holiday starts long before the turkey meets the oven and having a clear plan makes all the difference. I crafted a weeklong checklist so you can prepare for the big day little by little. Cheers to having time (and sanity) to spare! 7 days out: * Plan your full menu * Assign dishes if others are contributing * Order your turkey * Check your serving platters, cookware & tableware * Stock up on pantry items: flour, spices, … [Read more...]
Crustless Pumpkin Pie
Ramekins | Gold Stand | Nail Polish I’ve never made soufflés before now! I just bought these adorable individual ceramic ramekins with lids and instantly thought Pumpkin Pies would be perfect. I couldn’t figure out how to add the crust so I decided why not try crustless pies. They are amazing! Truth is I LOVE the crust of the pie probably better than the filling. I made the soufflés just like a regular pumpkin pie but baked it a bit differently. I poured the pumpkin mixture into each ramekin and then set the ramekins into a 9x13 baking dish. I boiled water on the stove in a separate pan and added it to the outside of the ramekins … [Read more...]
